Macao Postal Savings provides current account service to government sector as well as company.
Documents required for opening an account:
Government sector
- Official letter, signed by person in charge of the government service department, requesting for opening an account and stating the terms for signing said account
- Written approval for the opening of an account from said department/division Secretary
- The service department deliberation on which person(s) is(are) authorized to sign for said account
- The original or a certified copy, of a valid identification document of the person(s) authorized to operate the account
- Proof of appointment of the person in charge of said service department (Official Bulletin)
- Other documents (documents required by Macao Postal Savings to comply with Customer Due Diligence)
Company
- Certificate of company registration or equivalent documents issued by the relevant government agencies (for example: business registration certificate, deed of incorporation, memorandum and articles of association, etc)
- Valid identification document and habitual residential address of the beneficial owners, shareholders, executive directors, directors and any persons with authorization to operate the account
- Proof of address of place of business (for example: a recent public utility bill)
- Deliberation by the board of directors on the opening of said account and person(s) authorized to sign it
- Letter signed by the person in charge of company, requesting the opening of said account
- Other documents (documents required by Macao Postal Savings to comply with Customer Due Diligence)
Approval time required
The approval and opening of the deposit account will be completed in 3 working days from the date of complete submission of necessary documents and information required for the opening of bank account.
